Mrs Martins Summer School Part Two...and a Giveaway

The People
Mrs Martin's Summer School was such a brilliant experience made even better by the fabulous women who organised the day for us.  And the wonderful participants too.

Karen from Mrs Martins is such a star when it comes to organising fun filled workshops. She found brilliant tutors, thanks Lisa and Lou from Max and Louise for your wonderful designs and all the tips and hints.  The day was held in a lovely venue and Karen supplied us with delicious treats.
This was morning tea - a delicious plate of yumminess for each person.
And sweet treats to share.
Unfortunately I can't show you the amazing chocolate cheese cake we had for afternoon tea, as I gobbled it down before remembering to take a picture.

Knowing that Cheryl was travelling all the way from Stawell and leaving home very early, kind Maria bought this delicious plate of goodies for Cheryl's lunch.
Such a kind thing to do.

Happily Karen organised one of my favourites to be there -  fabulous Barb from Theodora Cleave. Barb bought a huge range of her delightful handpainted buttons + her fabulous boards to inspire us and give our creativity a bit of a nudge.

Have you noticed the beautiful buttons on my new header.  I bought these from Barb last year and I am so in love with them especially the big black dog.

I had to add these little beauties to my collection, the little dogs for me, the rest for gifts.

And speaking of gifts, Barb gave me this wonderful new design button

and I'm sharing it as a
If you would like to win this gorgeous button please leave me a happy 'hello' in the comments and you will go into the draw.  I'm happy to post anywhere in the world.  Draw closes next Monday and I'll announce the winner on Tuesday.
With my love of wool and wool felt, I was delighted to discover Felt on the Fly. A wonderful place to visit.  If you follow this LINK you will find a great tutorial for this super cute Easter Basket and Friends, which was designed by Victoria of Little Black Duck.  You can download the templates from Sew Mama Sew. Thanks to everyone involved in sharing it with us.

Don't forget to call back tomorrow because I want to introduce you to sweet Michelle from Britannia Creek Patterns.  She was Karen's assistant at Summer School and is a wonderful designer in her own right.
Have a wonderful day
Love
